I almost typed "thank you for visiting 'my' space," however, this is actually OUR space. Danna's Daily is a place where, when you pour your favorite beverage and pull up a seat to read, you will not only feel the honesty and vulnerability through my words, but will also feel welcome/compelled to do the same. It's simple: I am a Broadcast Journalism degree-toting, middle school-teaching, Language Arts-loving, shout-from-the-rooftops advocate for the advancement of women. After spending years interviewing professional and collegiate athletes for various publications, I graduated from the University of Houston, met the man who would later become my husband, became a mother and soon after, an educator. After navigating life so blindly and running into countless brick walls, I feel like I've finally gotten this thing called life (slightly) figured out and one day decided "hey, why not share I've learned along the way with the masses?"--specifically women. I had to take it back to my core, back to where it all started: WRITING. So here I am. For quite sometime, my obsession has been getting women to feel better, treat themselves better and do better, all while staying true to themselves (I personally use this blog as a means to do the same). I hope to rouse dialogue and honest conversation, reflection, positivity, growth and change.
